We roast a lot of our own meats and in the process, we developed some great seasoning rubs that will help you take your culinary adventures to the next level. Below are some of our gourmet organic blends.
Our Smoked Cajun Blend is a great combination of smoky and spicy flavors – perfect for any dish
you want to add a little heat to. Ingredients: organic smoked paprika, organic oregano, organic all spice, organic cayenne pepper, organic garlic powder, organic onion powder, organic cinnamon, kosher salt.
The NW Mole Blend follows suit with a bit of a kick, mellowed by
fair-trade organic cocoa powder and organic hazelnuts. We added dried herbs and a touch of smokiness from Lapsang tea. This blend is inspired by the Mexican sauce and is fantastic with chicken, pork and caliente dishes. Ingredients: fair-trade organic cocoa powder, organic hazelnuts, organic chili powder, organic cracked black peppercorn, organic lapsang tea, organic oregano, organic cinnamon, organic coriander, organic cumin.
Our Lavender Tarragon Blend is a house favorite. We use it on everything from homemade
popcorn and croutons to fish and poultry. Great for making any dish a little more herbaceous. Ingredients: organic lavender, organic tarragon, sea salt, organic thyme, organic basil, organic onion powder, organic garlic-powder, organic black pepper.
The Coffee Cayenne Blend is made with organic, direct-trade
coffee from Stumptown Coffee Roasters, a northwest company we definitely have a crush on. Apply liberally to pork tenderloin before roasting or sprinkle atop hanger steak before hitting the skillet. We use this on another house favorite, the Roast Pork sandwich with apple butter, pickled onions and sage aioli. Ingredients: organic Stumptown coffee, organic cayenne pepper, organic onion powder, organic garlic powder, organic oregano, organic cracked green peppercorns, kosher salt.
You can find our Blends at the counter in Homegrown for $3.99/each or all 4 for $15
