Just like that, fall has arrived. Cooler nights, shorter days, a couple trees changing colors, and only the occasional sunny day – yup, its definitely not summer anymore. We had to bid farewell to our summer seasonal collaboration with Tom Douglas and say hello to our new fall seasonal sandwich.

Introducing the Mt. Townsend Grilled Cheese made with Mt. Townsend Cirrus, Mustard & Co’s classic mustard, local, organic Asian pear & caramelized onion.

We’re very excited for this one, and to be featuring some amazing local products. Mt. Townsend’s Cirrus is a Pacific Northwest style Camembert cheese produced on the Olympic Peninsula using milk from local family-owned dairies. The sandwich also features Mustard and Co. classic mustard, a Seattle-based company focused on producing this flavorful condiment without all the additives. Stop by any of our stores to try out our Fall Seasonal sammie starting today! After all, it’s officially fall now.

We were excited to partner with one of Seattle’s most beloved chefs for our Summer Seasonal this year. Tom Douglas has helped build the Seattle food scene, earning three James Beard awards while doing so. Tom has been known to say “no one can out-effort us” and we like where his head is at. We’re loving his Ancho Molasses BBQ Sauce on our summer seasonal sandwich. The BBQ Chicken Bacon Ranch will be signing off from our menu on September 21st - come by to try it out before fall rears its rainy head.

Is it really summer if there isn't ice cream involved?

As you may have tasted or heard, we have partnered with Seattle’s favorite local ice cream shop, Molly Moon's, to bring you a different kind of sandwich. The beloved childhood classic ice cream sandwich is here. You can pick these ice cream sammies up in four different flavors at our Redmond and Mercer Island stores. You can devour them on the spot, you can share them with a friend or you can quickly whisk them off to a picnic. We’re serving vanilla, chocolate, mint leaf and stumptown coffee. All flavors come sandwiched between two sour cream chocolate cookies.

Farm Day

Sprouting Farms  

On Monday we went old school. We went classic company BBQ. We went red checker tablecloths and dinner at the farm - and it felt so right. All of our store teams headed out to Sprouting Farms for a good old fashioned summer BBQ, complete with three-legged races, giant jenga, cheeseburgers and watermelon. We closed our stores at 4pm to enjoy a beautiful evening on the farm and we took a break from sandwiches to dig into watermelon and hot dogs. We indulged in the slow-paced farm lifestyle on one amazing, long summer night.

Early Summer Update

The weather has been getting warmer every day and we are enjoying the longest days of the year. There’s no doubt that it’s summer in the Pacific Northwest and we’re all in. Beautiful sunsets, late night swimming, and sunny weather produce – what’s not to like? Homegrown Summer Seasonal Homegrown Summer Seasonal It’s starting to feel like summer in our stores too. We’ve partnered with local chef Tom Douglas on our new Summer Seasonal sandwich. The BBQ Chicken Bacon Ranch is now available in all stores and it features Tom Douglas’s ancho molasses BBQ sauce drizzled over grilled chicken, nitrate-free bacon, melty cheddar cheese, creamy ranch & organic greens.  Give it a try, let us know what you think. And for our vegetarian friends, try it with tofu instead of bacon & chicken. Sprouting Farms Sprouting Farms Sprouting Farms Sprouting Farms Sprouting Farms Summer is also in full bloom out at our certified Organic farm, Sprouting Farms. Our store managers headed out for a farm day early in the season to plant heirloom cherry tomatoes. Just last week our shift leads took a trip to the farm to trellis the growing plants. The baby greens and kale are also coming along; we’ve already harvested a few plots and they’ve made their way into your sandwiches and salads. The land is exploding with green tomatoes and with just a few more weeks of ripening, they’ll be ready to hit the menu. We planted just over 500 organic, heirloom tomato plants this year - go big or go home, right? Homegrown Sammamish Between spending time on the farm and falling in love with the BBQ Chicken Bacon Ranch seasonal, we’re gearing up for a great season. Oh and did we mention we opened our ninth store?? We’re excited to join the Sammamish community at our new store up on the Plateau. Opening day was a huge success with an amazing turnout.
